[Approved AACN CCRN Pediatric - Direct Care Eligibility Pathway Exam – Success Pathway Course] In This Course of ,This exam validates expertise of registered nurses providing direct bedside care to acutely/critically ill pediatric patients. The CCRN Pediatric exam measures knowledge of cardiovascular, pulmonary, neurologic, endocrine, gastrointestinal, and multisystem disorders, along with patient/family education and professional caring practices. The computer-based test contains 150 multiple-choice questions (125 scored, 25 pretest) and must be completed in 3 hours. Eligibility requires an active RN or APRN license and at least 1,750 hours of direct pediatric critical care nursing within the previous two years (with at least 875 hours in the most recent year). Passing confers the CCRN (Pediatric) credential, which is nationally recognized for pediatric ICU, cardiac ICU, and transport team nurses.
